Chef Valentine Munoz

Chef Valentine Munoz

Born March 28th, 1975, Chef Valentine Munoz, a native of Costa Rica, moved to the United States in 1999. He is married with four beautiful children, and resides just outside Philadelphia in Bucks County. Munoz, a self taught chef, mastered his craft along the way while working with highly trained chef’s at places like La Cena (Bensalem, Pa),  Stefano’s (Lower Moreland, PA), and Christine’s (Yardley, PA). With a focus in Italian Cuisine, Valentine has expanded his repertoire over the last 15 years to incorporate his own style to traditional Italian food. He devotes much of his time continuing his education of food, and truly loves what he does. His passion, he says, is seafood which is abundant in Costa Rica. He also has developed a love for the art of pastry as well, creating many of our homemade desserts from scratch. On his days off, besides spending time with the family, Munoz is an avid soccer fan and enjoys playing the game as much as he does watching it. And of course, a little Food Network to help spark his imagination in creating great new dishes for Huntingdon Valley’s new top restaurant, Piero’s!
